My 2017 pathfinder sl now wont open with a any of the cars trunk button even the key fob after a whole bottle of laundry detergent spilled back there i cleaned it up hut now its not working ans the only way to open the trunk is to use the emergency latch what do i do?

I'm new to the forum and owning a PF, I recently noticed that my liftgate will open when you use the fob, rear button or internal button but it will not close at all. I have to manually close it. If this has already been addressed please let me know where to find the answer before I head to the dealership.

Ironically, this is the same issue I'm having - it opening but not closing by any means. The dealership has it 5 weeks and is stumped as to why and if it's a sensor, or what? Any solutions for we "closing issue" people? Thanks.
