The Display/radio etc. on my 2017 Pathfinder SL (38000 Miles) has stopped working. Something seems to have faded because at first the Nissan Logo would appear but never boot up; the cameras would work only in reverse but today the screen is totally dark and without power and no cameras at all.
I have removed every fuse inside the vehicle and verified good with a meter. I have pulled all fuses from the engine compartment and they are all good as well. Someone suggested that the ACC relay above the engine might be the problem so I swapped that for another but still no luck. I managed to remove the Extended Storage fuse and replaced it with another although that fuse tested OK too. I disconnected the battery and let it sit overnight but this did not help either.
Does not sound like a fuse because things got progressively worse, but then again, I could be wrong. Is there another relay associated with the console that I am missing?


Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

I have the same problem with my Nissan Pathfinder 2018 model only 38000 Miles, Nissan dealer told me to take to independent auto place. Any recommendation? anyone could help?

OK, the "New" monitor arrived today and I am at my wits end...still not a thing working on the display including Radio/cameras/A/C...nada! Don't know where to go from here but maybe try to find a shop that specializes in Electrics or keep trying to find electrical diagrams. .

I had this same problem when I bought my car, brand new, it went out after a year twice , it was the DCU, luckily it was still under bumper to bumper warranty, now it has gone out again at 49,000 miles , I’m trying to find out what the dealer will charge me out of pocket to replace it now, it also affects my heating and ac controls too.

So the new Dealership analyzed my problem, had the part in the next day, and today they repaired the vehicle for $750. plus $136 for labor. One month with this problem and I can only say that Fred Beans of Doylestown,PA will never see this vehicle again. If anyone else has this problem just post it and I can supply the part number and save yourself a lot of ag.

Took it to dealer today and had it checked out, same problem I’ve had twice already, the DCU needs to be replaced, haven’t gotten a price of what it will cost yet it takes about 2-3 weeks for the part to come , was told over the phone the other day that it would probably be about $670 to replace it. Will let you know how much . This will be third time, I asked if there was a e all on this part but was told no.🙄

What was the name of the second dealership you went to? Do you mind giving that information out..? Only asking because I have the same problem but I know nissan is going to charge me an arm and a leg. -thanks

I have identical problem with my 2018 Pathfinder and local Nissan dealer still can’t find the solution .Spent Almost two months with them.Can you help me out?

Just bought 2018 pathfinder (used as is) radio no work screen no work. Backup screen turns on but no lines and sonar off?
part is 28387 6gy1a. Part is no good!!!! Plugged my vin into nissan web sight they want $3500, what a complete insult and disgrace to humanity!!!!!! Found a part 28387 6gy1e.., Plugged VIN to that part and Nissan said no work!!!
Changed Vehicle to 2018 Pathfinder SV on Nissan web and it said match!!!!!! ??????? Went and bought a used CDU (control display unit 28387 6gy1e) Plugged it into my 2018 Pathfinder and everything works as it should!!!!! TOTAL COST $135. Ruthless P.O.S

I have a Nissan Pathfinder 2014, the screen doesnt work, none of the front panel buttons work (radio, AC, etc.). I took it to the dealership in Houston and they have told me its the AVU (Audio Visual/Video Unit?) part that needs to be replaced (part # 25915-9GE1A). They quoted me $7,000 for it. I googled the part online and its about $5k on several different websites including Nissan's own portal. If anyone has any experience with this specific part or similar Nissan issues, any suggestions what to do? The cost is outrageous!

Finally I got my Pathfinder 2018 fixed (was black screen and Nissan logo bunched,no navigation,a/c or heating,radio,nothing)They have to replace monitor and reconfigure,and after that everything back to normal

I also live near Houston and it sounds like you have the same issue????? I know of a few salvage yards that have the parts for pennies on the dollar??? I also have Ideas and a contact that can, in some cases resolve the issue without the obscene cost. I want nothing for my info and only Hope to help!!!!!!!
