Thanks for posting this. I have a 2014 and just found the rear sub frame to be cracked enough where the bushing fell right out from the control arm. It only has 80,000 mi on it and is garaged most of its life. I do live in New England so I do understand the rust. Going to find out Friday how much it's going to cost to repair. This is now my son's car so I want to make sure it's safe.
I have the same problem in my 2013 Nissan Pathfinder. My mechanic found me an infiniti subframe to replace the old one $550 parts and labor 8 Hours=$120 per hour. pay cash no tax. lmk if you guys need help. Got lucky he found a salvage subframe. ASA Auto 914-531-2040 Look for Tino

All,

I bought my pathfinder brand new in 2013. It has a 140k miles on it and just recently the rear subframe cracked. The car is well maintained and always kept in a garage. Has anyone seen any bulletins or policy statements or has delt with Nisan on this? It appears this issue is not unknown to the pathfinder and other nissan vehicles. On the Altimas Nissan was fixing this problem. I have reached out to the dealer with no results. Please let me know if anyone has any experience with this.

Well I myself tried putting in a tea all notice about it and still nothing back as of yet same issue. This is crazy that so many of us have the same issue but let’s worry about a hood latch and not the rusted cracked subframe issue if anyone has any results let me know the dealership said 4 grand. And when the gave a list of cost 134.00 for one bolt

I have a 2012 pathfinder, sub frame rusted all to hell, the rest of the truck is clean, runs great, yesterday it snapped while my wife was driving, thankfully at a slow speed and near the house, steering got so wonkey it went off road at 25 mph, the truck is worth 2k, costs 4k to fix it so its going to the scrap yard and Nissan is dead to me. There was a safety recall for the same part on the 2wd model, I find it hard to believe that they trucked in special steel for the 4wd vs the 2wd, its a shame, she has had Nissans since I met her in 1998, went straight to the Jeep dealer last night. We are in Southern Virginia so not much snow or salt here.
