Just purchased a 2016 Pathfinder and the fuel economy is not as good as I hoped. I read somewhere that ecu reset can help. Has anyone ever done this? I'm probably gonna take it to service to let them take a look. But I figure i'd chime in here and see if others had any experience with ecu. Thanks in advance.

There used to be a procedure we would do on the Maximas that involved hitting the gas pedal a number of times and the ignition switch, I don't remember off hand what exactly it was or if it even worked. But for the 2013 R52 I did manage to find this in the service manual.

This describes show to erase the mixture ratio self-lear
ning value. For the actual procedure, follow the instruc-
tions in “Diagnosis Procedure”.
Work Procedure

1.
START
With CONSULT
1. Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
2. Select “SELF-LEARNING CONT” in
“WORK SUPPORT” mode with CONSULT.
3. Clear mixture ratio self-learning value by touching “CLEAR”.
With GST
1. Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
2. Turn ignition switch OFF.
3. Disconnect mass air flow sensor harness connector.
4. Restart engine and let it idle for at least 5 seconds.
5. Stop engine and reconnect mass air flow sensor harness connector.
6. Select Service $03 with GST. Check that DTC P0102 is detected.
7. Select Service $04 with GST to erase the DTC P0102

I assume that where they reference "GST" you could use your own OBD2 reader to read and clear the code.

Anyone figure out the problem? Same issue here I'm maxing 10 city and 14.5 hwy. This is ridiculous. I'm going to have to sell my new pathfinder six months after purchase and eat the downpayment loss if I get no resolution.
