Brake Controller install video. Is this the best spot? What have others done

This is where I installed mine.

By the way, the controller featured in the video is way overkill for the Pathfinder, as the vehicle only has a 6000 lb. towing capacity.

^^^ So you took off the fuse cover and installed it in the gap there. Looks nice and accessible at the same time.
Which brake controller would you recommend for the pathfinder 2019 when towing a 3200 lbs travel trailer with a single axle.

Also, there is apparently a bluetooth controller which connects to the 7 way socket in the back. Has anyone given that a try?

Do you actually even need a brake controller? Does your single axle trailer have electric brakes?

My brake controller is mounted direct to the fuse box cover plate. What is nice about doing that, when not towing, that fuse box cover and brake controller are tossed in the glovebox. I purchased a second fuse box cover plate to keep "blank". It's been over 4 years and thousands of miles of towing and hasn't worked loose yet.

The location in the video wouldn't work for me.

Hiya!

Happy to report that I just finished a 1800 kms roundtrip on my 2019 pathfinder while towing a 3200 lbs 15ft Hybrid travel trailer and some eqpt. Besides carrying 2 adults + 1 child and 1 dog.
I have to say that my pathfinder performed like a champion and I got on an average about 16.75L for every 100 kms. I had the car in tow mode at all times (more or less) and sparingly used cruise control when I got tired. I was driving between 80kmph to 100kmph and kept the climate control on.

Never got any warnings for coolant temperature or transmission issues. All seems good!
My car is due for an oil change and a little over the 16000 kms scheduled maintenance as suggested by the manual.
Since I did do some towing are there any specific things to check for in the maintenance appointment with the dealer. Let me know, if I ask the dealer might oversell something I don't need.

TIA
