Hi all,
So I just came across this forum and wanted go share my experience with my 24 Pathfinder Platinum. On paper it ticks all of the boxes, heated and ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, Bose, etc. However, for the $53k that I paid, this car has been a sheer disappointment and I honestly can’t wait to get rid of it.
For starters, I purchased my Pathfinder new with only 15 miles on the odometer, even then I had a warning light of low wiper fluid, even though the fluid was full. Apparently a sensor in there had to be replaced, which required a visit to the service department, only to find the automated steering wheel that moves for ingress and egress was also faulty. All in all, my new vehicle was at the dealer service department for almost a month!
The acceleration delay is the worst I’ve had in any car I’ve owned, this occurs at all takeoffs and also on the highway when I want to pass, it takes time for the car to think and downshift to get power. For a V6 feels severely underpowered, sadly I didn’t notice this during my test drive, but it’s more prevalent the more I drive it. The upgrade Bose system is disappointing as well, especially during low volumes, I have to crack it up to about halfway to hear the bass. The mpg’s are horrible, on a recent holiday roadtrip I only yielded 21 mpg on the open road, it’s that bad. The trunk space is pathetically small, and requires a pull down of the third row seat to get any luggage back there. Lastly, the third row seat is suitable for only toddlers, it’s pretty tight. Mostly upset at myself for not taking more time to thoroughly inspect this before purchasing. I came from a Lexus so maybe I was expecting more from the Pathfinder.
I have noticed many comments of people who love their Pathfinders on here.
Does anyone know if there is a setting for the power folding mirrors to fold in when I lock the vehicle? I didn’t see it on the owner’s manual or in the car reviews.
