New 2024 SV only have 200 miles in 2 weeks amd im hoping sport mode helps the trans delay havent mashed the pedal yet being im braking it in but my daughter noticed on her 2022 but every morning shuts off auto start stop snd awitched to sport mode and seems to help she said so i use sport mode as i break it in to learn that pattern and hope it helps. Sad on a 3rd year of a generation that Nissan hasnt come up with a software update to address workimg with ZF. May take a public commission complaint to nudge them if dangerous. Hated my maxima for power and CVT and a fan of wifes 2021 rogue cause of 4 cyl cvt.
Hi there, I agree with you 100%. I mean no disrespect to anyone, but I feel like so many people on here seem to either make excuses for the transmission or are just not very sensitive to vehicle functions in the same way that I am. This transmission is a total disaster and the worst aspect of the entire pathfinder. Half the issue is the transmission design and half the issue is the transmission tuning. It’s so frustrating and takes away from an otherwise great vehicle.

Everything is software so their dragging their feet on an update thats why i myself will file a complaint on the Website if i see its a dangerous problem once broken in i do know so far that half pedal does downshift nicely getting on the highway and in between when needing it to kick down. My build date was March 2024 so there maybe hope and ill update once i experience it or not. Thats what makes these forums the best source of sharing owners experiences because we all know the manufacturers hide ****. I have alot of experience being ive had to unfortunately lemon more new 1st model vehicles then i cared too for bugs and problems.

Yeah i have the same problems and have a 23 model year. I’ll complain as well and see eventually they will have a software update. Completely unacceptable honestly. Especially this far into the new pathfinder they should have this worked out by now. Really sad. Best of luck!

What website are you submitting your transmission complaints to? Please share, I will add one too.... The more the better.

Thank you.

Still breaking mine in at 562 miles and so far downshifting ok when needed but still hard to say my march 2024 build has the issue without mashing the pedal but will report back after 1000 miles when i will with fresh oil
Coming from a mazda cx50 that handled differently im loving this truck with its bigger riad presence which i tgink is huge for visibility along with a superb ride. Sweet vehicle for sure

Hi all,
So I just came across this forum and wanted go share my experience with my 24 Pathfinder Platinum. On paper it ticks all of the boxes, heated and ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, Bose, etc. However, for the $53k that I paid, this car has been a sheer disappointment and I honestly can’t wait to get rid of it.
For starters, I purchased my Pathfinder new with only 15 miles on the odometer, even then I had a warning light of low wiper fluid, even though the fluid was full. Apparently a sensor in there had to be replaced, which required a visit to the service department, only to find the automated steering wheel that moves for ingress and egress was also faulty. All in all, my new vehicle was at the dealer service department for almost a month!
The acceleration delay is the worst I’ve had in any car I’ve owned, this occurs at all takeoffs and also on the highway when I want to pass, it takes time for the car to think and downshift to get power. For a V6 feels severely underpowered, sadly I didn’t notice this during my test drive, but it’s more prevalent the more I drive it. The upgrade Bose system is disappointing as well, especially during low volumes, I have to crack it up to about halfway to hear the bass. The mpg’s are horrible, on a recent holiday roadtrip I only yielded 21 mpg on the open road, it’s that bad. The trunk space is pathetically small, and requires a pull down of the third row seat to get any luggage back there. Lastly, the third row seat is suitable for only toddlers, it’s pretty tight. Mostly upset at myself for not taking more time to thoroughly inspect this before purchasing. I came from a Lexus so maybe I was expecting more from the Pathfinder.
I have noticed many comments of people who love their Pathfinders on here.

Does anyone know if there is a setting for the power folding mirrors to fold in when I lock the vehicle? I didn’t see it on the owner’s manual or in the car reviews.
My experience is different because I bought a used 2023 path platinum with 15k miles for $37k. Included options: running boards, cargo rack, all weather mats, hood paint film, storage dividers/net.

I've owned a lot of cars btw so my expectations may be different.

Yes the V6 is sluggish at lower rpm’s but more than adequate at higher rpm’s.

MPG is on par with other similar engines. I’m willing to make this sacrifice to get a smooth and reliable engine. My last car was a 2021 accord hybrid touring that worked for 40mpg.

I love the brown leather. Smooth engine. Plenty of space. Captains chairs. Ventilated seats. Heads up display. Safety features. Quiet ride with acoustic glass.

I wouldn’t pay $54k but for $37k I got a great deal. Coral Springs Nissan has pathfinders discounted $10k.

My new Sv with roof rails and cargo package and lighting package was 39K with a 44600 sticker so im happy and 6 years at 4.9% saved me more when i plan to pay off in 3. Saved more cash in the long run. Beautiful ride for sure and hopefully have bugs out being the redeswas 2022 and they launched early. Best of luck with your new ride!

How is the Heat/AC?
Just bought a 2024 Pathfinder platinum and already disappointed. 1st off the car is defective. Backup camera does not work. I use this backup camara extensively. Same ole rotten dealer BS - they throw you in the service line.

So I told the dealer they can have their car back sine they had this on the sales lot in which I said you have defective cars that you are actively selling. This is Florida so as a consumer you have very little chance of government helping you out.

Transmission is just so-so. 1st gear is jumpy as hell - acceleration is pretty good.

AC and ventilated seats are good but I found Ford Explorer was better equipped.

I will keep this a year and dump it - never will buy a Nissan again.

New here, have had my Platinum Pathfinder for a little over a month now I think. I too thought the throttle response was horrid. It happens a lot on new "throttle by wire" systems. I just added a Pedal Commander throttle controller and it makes a HUGE difference. I have no affiliation with them, and apparently can't add links as I'm new here. But look it up, couple hundred bucks and it transforms the car.

I've used them in the past on other cars, and there are other brands out there too if you like. Simply plugs inline at the top of the throttle pedal which is really easy to get to on these cars. Then it has 4 modes you can choose and you can adjust each mode too.

Just went for a drive and had the car in "auto" drive mode and set the Pedal commander in sport mode. I'm tellin ya, it wants to spin the tires leaving a stop. WAY better than even having the car in Sport mode.

Sorry other folks have had issues other than just the slow throttle. But at least this is one issue that's easily and pretty cheaply fixed.

Oh, I also hate the stop/start thing and often forget to hit the button. Apparently there's at least one company out there that makes an adapter of sorts to permanently turn that off but they're out of stock right now. It would be a bit more complicated to install as you have to take most of the center console apart, but it doesn't look too bad.

I gave them my email to notify me when they are back in stock.

Luckily my sunroof doesn’t rattle. I had my cruise set at 75 and only got 21 mpg. Can I ask did you adjust the driver settting? I mainly leave it set on “normal,” now I am wondering if I should have adjusted this to maximize my mpgs?
SUVs and trucks push a lot of air. Air friction goes up in squares. Take a long trip at 60mph and you will get close to 30mpg. I am guessing 65 gets around 27. This is what I have learned from my half ton diesel truck although I get 32mpg at 65. Only problem is that the ecodiesel engines crater a lot.

Sorry you have issues with your pathfinder. I purchased a 2024 platinum at first I hated the engine stop start feature the 6 cylinder engine has been tried and proven it self through out the years I've had three muranos an 09 ,11 and 17 all with the same engine that the pathfinder has. I now automatically shut off the stop start feature and only drive in sport mode. Has the same power as always. And have gotten used to using the padel shifters as well all the difference in the world. But ther should be an option to permanently disable the engine on off feature which truly sucks I have reached out to Nissan about that and went to the dealership they told me there's nothing they can do about it.
