Never saw that, never heard of it happening, not normal...bring it in and get it replaced.

 

I had an issue where mine went blank for a couple of seconds, told the dealer about it, and they did a software update. Take your pf in to the dealer, hopefully, the fix will be as simple as a software update.

 

This just happened to my wife, she said there was a 'pop' from the speakers and then the screen went dark with vertical lines, but after 5 minutes came back to normal, even without having to restart the car. If it happens again, it'll have to go to the dealer.

sounds like the system crashed.

 

And....it just happened again. Here's what it looks like, just like the original poster. Not good. Only happens when we plug in the iPhone 5C into the USB port.

 

I have not seen that (yet) on my PF but DO notice some significant dimming of the display- notably in the day mode and setting on full bright. The backup camera display and radio/ environmental display images are weak- sometimes barely usable especially in bright daylight (???!)

 

my pathfinder is doing the same this morning. I turned it on and the screen does not turn on. I have no radio. No nav. .. just a black screen. The back up camera works though

 

Did anyone figure out a fix for this? Just happened to our 214 Pathfinder. Same thing - thump from the speakers and then the weird vertical lines on the screen.
