All Around View Camera

Hi,

Picked up my new 2014 PF Platinum last week, so far, enjoying every minute of the drive.

One question that I can't seem to figure out, does the all around view camera automatically come on when in drive (D), when pulling into park? When in R, no problem with the camera. Reading the manual (Page 4-35), here is what it states

The display automatically changes to the Around View Monitor displaying front-view/bird’s-eyeview when:
â—Ź If the shift lever is in the D (Drive) position, and the sonar detects the vehicle is approaching an object.

Appreciate any help or insight that can be provided.

Thanks!!

Have to press the camera button first to show all around for the front camera to work, but we can put the car to reverse to see the rear camera and the front camera will show again when you put to drive or park. Bottom line is if you want the camera to switch front and back, you have to press the camera button first before you put the car in reverse.

Interesting comment because to my knowledgt the PF (2013) does not have sonar on the front bumber so not sure what the above is referring to.

When in drive and pulling into a spot I just have to push the camera button and I believ I push it twice to see the all around view.
