I just bought a 2014 SL 4wd Dar Grey Slate with low miles. It is a really nice car. The problem I am having is that when I open the tailgate it stays open for a couple seconds and then it does the 3 beeps and closes. If I keep trying it will eventually stay open. Anyone have any thoughts on why it does that and how to fix? Thanks.

So, here is how I fixed this. With the liftgate closed, I went inside the back of the car. There is a cover plate at the bottom of the door, pop that off. There is a metal latch on the left side of the opening. Pull that to the right and the door will unlock. Manually lift the door just shy of all the way open. Press and hold the button on the bottom of the door until you hear a couple of BEEPs. This has reset the module and it should now operate normally.
