The 2013 Nissan Pathfinder is $2000 cheaper than the 2012 Nissan Pathfinder at $28 000.
Anyone know why Nissan did this?

i'm also waiting for the comparison info. i almost wanted to buy one (so i can use the pre-sale extended warranty deal in Canada). but now i'm waiting.

regarding the op's question - i think it is probably cheaper for them to produce (as cfrp mentioned) since they are using the same platform as Murano, Maxima (and Altima as I remember).

It's possible it's being sold in more nations now. I noticed more car makers are trying to make vehicles that can be sold in quite a few different nations. Ford is already doing this with their Escape in Europe. The European Escape is almost the same aside from the typical changes that happens with an American car being sold the EU.
