This is my first post. Just wanted to do a little show and tell on how i Finally replaced my factory speakers on my none bose Pathfinder. Definitely a good project to do if you're an Audiophile, and bored during this Pandemic with a few extra bucks. Definitely not the most expensive system in the world. But it was a HUGE upgrade from my stock system. Hopefully it motivates more people to swap out their speakers. Let me know what you guys think.
Huge**
I Took apart the headunit to start. I know there isn't any upgrade aftermarket head unit options ( correct me if im wrong ) so i decided to power up the sound going to my door speakers using an ALPINE KTP-445U power pack amplifier. Also put a little sound Deadening behind the speakers and throughout each door. Replaced the dooe speakers with JBL GTO's. I had installed them previously on my Lexus Is300 and was very satisfied with the results. Never dissapointed.
got a 10 inch JBL subwoofer, Powered by a crappy Lanzar amplifier. Still pumps decently though. ??? so far i am very happy. I do have a small problem and its a small noisethe speakers make when i turn on the car. I will have to take it apart again soon and check the connections in the head unit. Well... Thats that. Let me know what you think.???
