This is appearing in Canada, so does this mean it is coming to the US as well?

Not exactly sure if it relates back to the U.S. But I would phone up or even go to the nissan dealership and speak to an advisor to find out.

I would bet this was limited to vehicles configured for Canada deliveries. I have seen this happen to not just cars but other products.

Speculation if this is the cause of the "CVT Judder", or this completely different and the judder is definately coming from the CVT and/or its torque converter? Only time will tell.

On Nissan Pathfinder facebook page....

Nissan will be conducting a Voluntary Safety Recall Campaign on some 2013 Nissan Pathfinders to inspect the front brake torque members and, if necessary, replace one or both of them. Certain 2013 Nissan Pathfinders may have front brake torque members that were improperly manufactured by our supplier. No injuries have been reported to Nissan as a result of this issue. Nissan will notify owners of 2013 Pathfinders subject to this recall by letter in early May 2013. For more details regarding the recall or if you have questions about your vehicle, please contact Nissan Consumer Affairs at 1-800-647-7261.

So not just in Canada.

NHTSA Campaign Number: 13V139000
Component(s): SERVICE BRAKES
All Products Associated with this Recall
Details
2 Associated Documents
Manufacturer: Nissan North America, Inc.
SUMMARY:
Nissan is recalling certain model year 2013 Pathfinder and Infiniti JX vehicles manufactured December 3, 2012, through January 29, 2013. The front brake torque member was improperly cast resulting in structural weakness. This can lead to premature failure and cracking.
CONSEQUENCE:
If the brake torque member fails, the brake caliper may move and contact the inside of the road wheel, resulting in reduced braking, increasing the risk of a crash.
REMEDY:
Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the manufacturing date of the torque members and replace them, as necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin in early May 2013. Owners may contact Nissan Customer Service at 1-800-647-7261.
NOTES:
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to Home | Safercar -- National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Service Notification - Brake Calipers

I took my PF in for it's first service May 9th and they wouldn't let me leave with it because of this safety issue. The service notice had just been received by the dealer and they didn't have any parts. Nissan shipped the parts out from the US and I had my PF back 4 days later. They seemed to know from my S/N that my PF needed the brake calipers replaced. Another PF that was in for service didn't need the same repair - but it did need the air bag sensor in the passenger seat replaced.

Took my Pathfinder in for first service about a month ago, they told me I had two recalls regarding air bag and torque member. Checked them both, nothing wrong. Purchase was in early march, unsure of the build date.
