Anyone else hearing a random popping noise from their '22 PF? My car is @ 1,900 miles and I recently started to notice the sound. It usually happens @ the beginning of the day and can't seem to isolate where the sound is coming from.

I've also heard a noise every now and again on a cold start. Mine isn't popping though, more like a grating sound. Almost sound like the fan blade is hitting the shroud. I'm hoping its just a tolerance issue, maybe the shroud is contracting enough to lessen the gap somewhere along its circumference and causing the fan blade to make contact. If that's the case, I'm thinking the affected area will eventually be 'grated' away and the problem will fix itself but will keep an eye on it. Anyone else experiencing anything similar?

I hear knocking in mine too... mainly when turning and it's like a pop or rocking noise. It's annoying never noticed and have had my car now for 2 months. I see there's 4 recalls... annoying and regret my purchase now. Also can't figure out why my dome light won't illuminate when my doors open. It's not a setting the rear hatch has same problem. For a 22 pathfinder this is more that dissapointing.

Is it the parking brake or the auto hold? I notice something that sounds like what you're describing on a cold start, but I think that it is either the parking brake or the auto hold system, as I only hear it right when I start to accelerate for the first time, and only very briefly. It actually sounds a lot like the sound that my previous cars would make when the collision avoidance system engaged, which further makes me think that it is the auto hold system.

No, coz the sound can be heard using the remote start as well, so way before any driving activity. The good thing is I have not heard it for a few weeks now so real happy about that. Hopefully it stays that way...

Have the dealer check the struts! I found out mine are bad yesterday. Low speed, annoying popping, turning to the right especially. Started at about 1900 miles as well. I have 22 Platinum

My PF is @ the dealership now. Of course when I tried to duplicate the issue, the popping sound was barely noticeable. They're going to see if they can still identify the issue, along with taking care of the recalls.

2 people now with my same issue on 22 PF Platinum. Bad front Struts! Have your dealership check it.

I have noticed a "CLICKING" sound while making tight left or right turns in a parking lot, while giving a bit of gas. This reminds me of when I had worn out CV boots on my 90's Sentra.
Parking lot Donuts could be a good test for everyone.

I just took my 22 pathfinder in and the technician told me hisparents as the same vehicle as mine and the noise is coming from the cross racks on top of the car. Nkthing can be done except to take them off!

Good grief do we even know what ABS is on this forum? It’s been a long 30 years getting to 2022 I guess.

Every single time you start a modern car, as in since like 1995, the ABS makes a noise when you take off first thing.

Google 1988 Mercedes E300 ABS noise and maybe you can catch up.
