Passenger window button

Sometime around Friday night Saturday morning. Simone sprayed what looks liked soda all over the passenger side of my pathfinder. That was the exterior. The window itself moves with a lot more friction. The switch on the driver side when I press down, stop it halfway , press up. IT GOES DOWN! What can I do to remedy this?

Sorry to hear Sean, try power wash the exterior.
Yeah I’m going to. Also look into getting the Nissan Impact sensor. But the only one I see fits the S and SV
Oh Sean - I hate to hear this senseless vandalism crap!
First try the power wash - hopefully, that will take care of the issue.
If it does not, I would next look at the window switches on the driver's side.
What happens when you use the window switch on the passenger's side?
It sounds like the sticky soda may have seeped down into the front passenger door. If this is true, and the power washing doesn't fix it, you may have to disassemble the inside door panel and snoop around for the residue.

Do you think an impact sensor would help? Last week some idiot hit my mirror and twisted it back. Seems to be some jealous neighbor but it is just crap
Hey Sean - I am not fond of the impact sensor. I guess the goal is for YOU to be notified and have some kind of alarm when this idiot is jealously picking on your truck. I hate this sh*t!
Based on what you've shared here, I would think this guy is at it too much of the time!
You need something that will help to alert you and scare him off.
I would think an alarm system may serve you well - but what do YOU think about the impact sensor vs. an alarm system. Ultimately, it has to be something you like and hopefully, will work on your vandal. Short of staying up and waiting for him!!!
If your dealer is reliable (the ones here in New York are pretty much all crooks), then perhaps they can suggest something with you guiding them.
Or, a reliable after-market installer - they are usually car stereo places that also do car alarms and all kinds of sophisticated stuff. I am certain they can suggest what may work for you. I know there are two close to me. I am waiting to see what my dealer tells me at my first 6-month service visit the end of this month. Each one has told me they can to the LED red blinking light function when the car is shut off. One also said, he can make the liftgate motion activated!!
I have the service appointment and plan to speak with the service manager. She 'sounds' great on the phone (unlike the service writers, one of whom I met and was disappointed), so I'll see. It's something I'm working through.

Oh-no, that sucks! Sorry to hear about the incident. If it was soda, chances are the syrup gummed up your window rails which is probably why they are operating slow or partially. If it still persists after power washing the PF, try using a damp cloth towel to wipe the inside of the window rails. If it's extra sticky as you wipe the rails, you can spray some silicon lubricant to help restore glide on the rails. Use it sparingly as Nissan has a TSB on silicone overspray potentially damaging door lock actuator motors and/or other sensitive electronics.

I had an issue like that on my driver window and a little bit of silicon lubricant helped to clear the slow and sometimes sticky function. I hope that helps! 🤓
