Update: After my PF being up there all day, I got a call about 4:00 PM. The battery would fail the test, then pass, fail then pass. The decision was made to replace the battery. I knew the place was approaching closing time so I told Angie (the service advisor) to tell the mechanics to take their time, do it carefully and I'll come get the car tomorrow mid morning rather than rush it up today. She asked if I was sure, I said again "Do it right, not fast". She was very appreciative of the extra time. I hate to rush mechanics, carpenters, plumbers or any tradesman.
I appreciate you not rushing them. When I worked for the general public that was the one thing I hated most. Customers would come in for service the day before they were headed on vacation, and they would end up needing other repairs. They would expect it to be done immediately, like they were the only important customer at the shop. Its very stressful to try to meet the demands of customers.

I'm very lucky that I was able to take a job working on city and federal government vehicles. We are still required to get things done in a timely manner, but the rule here is to fix it right. I get to take my time to correctly diagnose problems and make repairs. It's alot more relaxed and I don't have to work 12 hour days 6 days a week.
