Hi everyone!
first post.

I recently received my 2022 PF SL.
This is my first pathfinder but not my first Nissan.
I got to say I love this car. I want to buy a second one but the wife said no! Haha

the concern I have and it may be “normal” and I’m curious if anyone else is experiencing this.

When the car is first turned on after sitting for extended periods of time (overnight)
If the AC is turned on shortly after starting the vehicle. There is a loud clunk when the clutch of the compressor engages.
I’ve only noticed it on cold starts. I haven’t noticed it if I allow the vehicle to warm up before turning on the AC.

another thing. Is anyone elses auto stop/start seem very rough? Like when the engine turns , almost a hard shake?

any input is appropriate.

Thanks!

Noises sound differently to everyone, but there is a definite clunk type noise on both our Nissans after startup, on the first a/c compressor engagement. Much more noticeable on our 2015 Nissan Versa vs. the 2019 Pathfinder.

That’s good to know!

maybe I’ll ask a tech when I take it in for its first service too.
It could definitely be normal for these cars
I have other cars and they make a clunk sound. It’s just not as loud.
But this is my first SUV I’ve owned.
I’ve always owned sedans, so much smaller compressors.

Welcome! Regarding the Start/Stop rough start, several have commented on similar experiences and/or lunging forward. Seems to be common on the R53, so far...
