We lost one of our keys to our 2016 Pathfinder. The dealer wants a bazillion dollars to replace and program it. Are there any better and/or cheaper options to replacing & programming the key?

You can always look for a used replacement keyfob on ebay for less than $50 in good condition. Just make sure your numbers match up on the back. The only thing you would need to pay for is reprogramming.

New ones for 80 bucks or so, too! It does suck that you need a dealer to reprogram them though. The old "insert key 6 times in 10 seconds" trick no longer works.

You're right! Dealer wanted $200 for a new key, $50 for the insert and $70 to program. ebay FTW!

Got mine on ebay for $70 when I bought my 2016, the nicer key with the silver key hole. Works perfect

My girlfriend has a 2016 Rogue. Got a uncut Nissan key on Amazon and local locksmith programmed for $125

Back then you would have paid your local locksmith only $60 to get a new key. One option to consider is a replacement key from a locksmith Kentish Town.
