We lost one of our keys to our 2016 Pathfinder. The dealer wants a bazillion dollars to replace and program it. Are there any better and/or cheaper options to replacing & programming the key?

New ones for 80 bucks or so, too! It does suck that you need a dealer to reprogram them though. The old "insert key 6 times in 10 seconds" trick no longer works.
You're right! Dealer wanted $200 for a new key, $50 for the insert and $70 to program. ebay FTW!

Back then you would have paid your local locksmith only $60 to get a new key. One option to consider is a replacement key from a locksmith Kentish Town. Locksmiths can often provide replacement keys at a lower cost than a dealership, and they have the capability to program the key to work with your specific vehicle. It's important to know that not all locksmiths can help you with car keys, but locksmiths that specialize in automotive locksmith services usually have the tools and equipment to cut and program a new key for your vehicle.
