My battery died on my 2007 pathfinder auto do I have to get codes deleted as now when I start it up it goes through the gears but suddenly doesn’t change up or down

So it only shifts for a brief period of time after you first start it up, then it gets stuck in a single gear and doesn't change? How long was it sitting? Sometimes if it's a computer issue, disconnecting the battery and letting the computer "reset" can help. How is your transmission fluid? Full and somewhat clear (maybe a pink-ish tint).

What are your stored codes? Did you have any stored codes before you swapped the battery?

There is a factory service manual available for free download, in PDF format. If done correctly, it is searchable on your device. I have it on my iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Sometimes if you need a reference while doing the repair, you can print out the part of the manual that you need, rather than get your device dirty.

It had a service before it all stopped and the battery died . Hopefully it’s the codes it’s at the garage will find out tomorrow

I don’t know to be honest it’s at the garage should find out tomorrow . Hopefully it’s a matter of deleting codes or resetting the computer
