I have a 1994 Nissan Pathfinder 4wd auto. I was driving it the mud and noticed that any foward moving gears didn’t engage and I was stuck with reverse. Then while trying to get out of the mud in reverse I heard a click and then reverse stopped. The car runs fine I just can’t drive. Nor 2wd or 4wd works, or any gears. I don’t really know what has happened but I think I’ve done a transmission. I’ve topped the transmission oil up and all but still nothing. Is there any way I can fix this? Or what could I do?

Welcome to the forum..

We specialize in the 2013+Pathfinder and it will be very hard to diagnose your issue. I do suggest you check your transfer case, some have a cover that can be removed to check inside (like a differential).
You need to determine what is not working, your transmission could be fine.

Beside the auto transmission under the car are the gear linkages, possibly as all gears have gone, the linkages have jammed/broken from the mud (maybe there was a ‘stick-in-the-mud’, really, that caused damage), i’ld have thèse checked first as it’s likely. The transmission is sealed up for just such off-roading, but also there are electrics though your ‘94 wouldn’t have electric operated 4x4 dial on dash as later PFs did.
