Cracks in leather/ette seat

Noticed today that there are cracks forming in my drivers seat, outside bottom bolster. The car was a year old at the end of December 22.

I'm due for the 25k oil change next week. I wouldn't expect this type of wear on such low kms. I guess we will see what the dealer can do.
This was the same seat that had a D.O.A seat warmer from factory.

Sad quality there. My 16 did the same thing. Only gonna get worse.

Indeed, not cool. If you haven't already, several of us have reported the issue directly to Nissan for consideration. The more Nissan hears on this, hoping they actually do something about it. Not sure why, but the leather seat quality stands out in the new R53 models. :/

I agree - many of us have had this experience with the leather on the seats.
It's taken several months (commencing with my first 6-month service in September 30, 2022). I have my second 6-month service scheduled for this Tuesday (3/28/23). They have held on to the replacement seat for the driver's position and it is supposed to be replaced this coming Tuesday. Since the same thing has happened to the front passenger seat, I will ask them to evaluate that this time around, too.
I've attached photos, should you be interested.

Good news the drivers seat bottom is set to be replaced, due to the cracking. The wrinkles are considered normal wear.
My 2022 with only 20K miles is starting to do this too on the drivers side. I need to stop into the dealer and see what they can do.
Horrible quality material!
I also had a seat heater fail, not this seat, but the passenger side.

The premature seat bottom wrinkling is definitely not normal wear and tear. After a decade perhaps....

The vinyl cracking along the perimeter is also unacceptable.

Hopefully Nissan eventually addresses these issues properly through revised/improved parts though that currently doesn't appear to be occurring.

This is from my 2019 PF. 60,000 miles I haven't used any leather treatment on any of my seats. Will this just get worse?

If I use some leather treatment will it stop from getting any worse?

If so what is a good leather treatment to use? We

You should post this in the appropriate R52 forum. This thread is specific to the 2022+ / R53 Pathfinders.

That said, it looks like you have a crack in the leather (the bolsters are vinyl and the center section is leather). There isn’t any amount of treatment that will stop the crack from spreading. Leather treatment is meant to prevent the leather from cracking by conditioning it. While it will not help your current cracking, using a leather treatment will help prevent future cracks from developing.

You may be able to have that small section repaired by an upholstery repair shop but the proper way to fix the issue would be to replace the seat cover itself.
