Hi, my sunroof ducts seems to be clogged as I started noticing the headliner getting wet near the a pillar on the passenger side afyer a rain. I tried to put water down the duct and the water doesn't come out on the bottom.

I tried to clean the sunroof ducts with a soft wire but I can't seem to get the wire down past the bottom of the a-pillar. Maybe I can go from the bottom of the car but I don't know how the exit duct looks like.. Any pointers? Tips? Other ways to clean the sunroof rain ducts?

I had a similar issue, supposedly it's a common problem. Mine was fixed by mechanic making the drain hole bigger by drilling it out.

So where does the drain hole come out? I can't find it coming out behind the tire...

The outlet might be in a similar location as per the rouge, i just can't be bothered removing the plastic trim off mine to confirm, but maybe one of you other guys with clogged jets have a bit of time

Like @mercina said, I can confirm that the sunroof drain does indeed terminate behind the cowell just like in the rogue video above. The bad part is that under the cowell it isn’t a small filter like in the rogue video. I didn’t take a picture but it looks like a garage door that was opened 1/4 of the way. The water flows out of the 1/4 opening and of course mine is blocked up.

No idea why they did this but I couldn’t fix it because I couldn’t get the cowell off because no matter what I did I couldn’t get the wiper blades off. They are really stuck on there. Tried wd40 on them and they still wouldn’t budge after I removed the screw. Probably will need to take it to a mechanic so he can loosen them for me so I can take them off. But one would probably just need to drill a hole to open it all the way.

So found a picture of how this plug looks like (part #74816-JU40B)

How would you break it to expand the hole?

I fixed the passenger side hole by ripping out the filter. Drains great now. Have no idea where the driver's drain empties behind the Cowell. Took some pictures maybe someone will see it .
