This may sound silly but one of the things I didn't like about the JX was the blind-spot system. When I test drove it the constant on/off became annoying. Yes, I know its a safety feature and it was supposed to work that way but I still know how to keep my vehicle in the lane I'm driving in and can use the mirror or look before making a lane change. Just my .02...give me my change, thank you.

I don't need it either, but I had a couple of closed calls like when another car is merging on the lane I was getting into, and don't get me started with those "Smart" cars.

It helps if its not too obtrusive.

I do like the ones that turn a light on your side mirror if it detects a car in your blind spot. As long as the light isn't blinding.

I do think you must shoulder check regardless.

Do not depend on these features because if they aren't working or they fail = that is an accident waiting to happen.
