Just bought new 22 pathfinder. On a trip to North Carolina we went through a severe rain storm and experienced both the roof leak and giggling noise. Glad to know it is a known issue. I’ll take it to the dealer.
Hello Chris
I don't think nissan knows about this yet
I've had my car in 4 times for water leaks on both sides-dealer replaced a kinked drain line in roof on drivers side.
Looking for advice. My 22 is leaking too. They fixed the kinks in the drain hoses 4 weeks ago, low and behold, it's still leaking.. They can't replicate it. I have video showing the active leak. Also, I have water stains now and the dealership isn't interested in fixing or dealing with that part of the issue. How do I get Nissan to help? Guidance please....
Hello cbenton!
Dealer had my car for 1 week after Only 3 days of ownership. I was told "we had nissan quality control engineer here and we couldn't find anything". This means the problem is not fixed and Nissan doesn't care. I have to wait til it rains again, rush home so i can take the car out for a drive and recreate the condition.
Looks like the Last nissan for me.

It Doesn't matter what the dealers interested in
You are under warranty and it's a manufacturing problem. They need to replace whatever damage there is.
I'm aggravated for both of us.

It sucks because I LOVE my Pathfinder besides this. It's probably been my favorite vehicle I've owned!

That's what they said was my issue a month ago. Then it started leaking last week again. They said the lines are fine and they can't find the issue. I also can't keep having my car in the shop. We have 2 kids in sports going different directions! I'm so angry

I understand your frustration. I also had to deal with Nissan dealers and Corporate for other reasons.
Quoting multiple posts is not going to fix it, so count to ten.

Remember that these are businesses, and businesses are there to make money. I spent some time talking to the service managers of different Nissan dealerships and learned how they work.
Nissan pays the dealers very little to none to troubleshoot. The dealer gets paid IF they find the issue so this is why they won't pay too much attention if the issue is not evident or cannot be reproduced. Some dealers would even charge a diagnostic fee even during the warranty period.
One manager told me he used to work for Honda and never had issues with corporate, but with Nissan, he was once denied payment of $40k in warranty repairs that were not pre-authorized by Nissan, so he learned his lesson.

In your case, Nissan has to replace your stained parts and its up to them if they want to replace them multiple times.
Call Nissan and open a case, tell them the repair was not successful and send them the video. Also ask the stained parts to be replaced. They should contact the dealer and authorize the repairs.

For those with the window leaks, when was your vehicle built / manufactured?

It would be interesting to observe if the manufacturing defect has been rectified for later builds (e.g. those built 2022)
Or if it is still a recurring thing.........
bought a 2022 pathfinder and it was leaking in the floorboards. took it to the dealer and they said at the nissan factory they did not even put the sunroof drain tube in. So it's setting in the shop now.

Dec 15, 2022 Just found this thread after doing my own search. Have been dealing with similar issue since week after labor day weekend. Differences are that both dealers(original out of state and local for service) have been helpful, just running into limited solutions from corporate nissan. Dealer Replaced clogged drain plugs under warranty which now just limits the leaking to the overhead lamp dome console rather than across the entire roof line along both visors, where it was coming from originally. Hoping these added details get picked up by the right folks at Nissan who can help.
I too have a 2022 Pathfinder with a leak. I’ve had the car for 10 months. Doesn’t rain much in California, but it sure has the last few weeks. The dealership has had it once and said they fixed it with unclogging the drains, but here we are with rain again and it’s leaking. I need to take it back in but they don’t have a car for me to drive and I can’t be without a car. Nissan motors was no help at all. It took them 4 weeks to tell me they weren’t going to help me out at all. I going to see what the dealership can do, but it’s pretty sad Nissan is not willing to stand by their product. I’m very disappointed in this brand.

Nissan has such bad customer service in the US that I don’t think they really even know how bad it is. It’s beyond useless. They have actually made worse problems for me by throwing the dealerships under the bus. Truly a rotten company from a customer’s perspective. I do love my Pathfinder, but I will try my hardest to ditch Nissan just on principle. They do not care about me at all.
Has anyone found a solution for the gurling noise too took my car to the dealer 2 days ago for the same Issue car stayed over night and i showed them video proof of the gurling noise. Minds is not leaking yet but, you can hear the gurgling noise after a rain or carwash and you in the highway at 60+. They told me they dont hear nothing that they drove it around. I had an argument with them because, my car was parked all that time hasn’t been moved because i tracked all tge movement through the app. Miles and fuel was the same way i left it and doors never got unlocked while in the dealer.
We have a 22 Pathfinder that has been in the sop 3 times for this issue. Water is leaking through the ceiling light. The first time the dealership could not replicate the problem. Then they said it was a kinked hose and they straightened it. This took them a week. Did not fix the problem. The next time they had it over 2 weeks, claiming that it was fixed. Happened again last week and they have had it over a week and a half. My wife told them they need to buy it back. They thought she was joking. We have had the car for a year and 4 months and it has spent approximately 6 weeks in the shop for this one issue. They really do not know what is wrong or how to fix.
I am having the exact same issue as well. Have had it in 4 times with the exact same results. First they say its a clogged channel etc. etc. Spoke with Nissan and they offered me 1 month payment of my car payment. There is obviously a defect in manufacturing these. Hard to believe Nissan has taken a we do not care stance. I suggest everyone with this issue post it on every social media and Car website, reviews etc. At least warn other prospective buyers of this issue. Depending on climate you will eventually get mold as well.
Mine is the same issue, located in Canada. New pathfinder was purchased in Apr 2022. Last week after an overnight heavy rain, the next day morning noticed the leaking from the driver's sun visor area. Today the dealer had an hour water test but nothing at all. What should we do? I am going to call Nissan Canada tomorrow. So frustrated.
Hi there I have same issue with my 2023 Pathfinder. Dealership unable to fix. I have opened case with Nissan Canada. So far no resolution. Very disappointed. Did you get any news/fix from Nissan?
