Wow, did you guys know about this...
  • Deterior. – CVT Fluid Deterioration, value in brackets shows deterioration increase during current CVTz50 session (corresponding Consult-II parameter: CVTF DETERIORATION DATE)
Yep and it's pretty much useless data. I don't know of a Nissan dealer that can (or will) actuality decipher or use the fluid deterioration data.

My take is you guys are way overthinking this cvt drain/fill thing. IMO you really have to put some effort into getting it wrong.

It's made to sound scary with temperature parameters, special hardware and software to get you to use dealer service.

my deterioration number is 5.
went to dealer last week and dont know is they reset everything.
no change so far. says only adds when CVT temp is over 90 C.

Some googling tells me 210,000 is the deterioration number Nissan recommends to replace cvt fluid. Mine is at 200 , with 20k miles.

I wonder if the dealer has zeroed it out when iploading software updstes or during service.
