Well that's a good question. I can't retrace my steps but I think I went backwards. I searched for the MAF Sensor and found there were 2 part numbers for the 2017. Then, when someone suggested, I input my VIN and searched again and only one part number showed up. That part number was associated with engine VQ35DD so I assumed that was my engine.

Shouldn't be a question. If you own a 2017+ Pathfinder (US market), it's got the VQ35DD engine. All 2013-16 are DE.

In a nutshell, the older DE engines use port fuel injection, while the newer DDs use direct injection.
