Nissan’s 2013 Pathfinder is a 7-passenger SUV that has a 5,000 pounds standard towing rating.

The Pathfinder has a unibody frame that increases interior roominess and enhances ride quality, while maintaining good fuel economy (26 mpg on the highway) with all-weather capability.

Pathfinder has achieved some highlights that are noteworthy against competitors like Ford Explorer, Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, and Chevrolet Traverse, while versatile with a premium interior.

Pathfinder is best-in-class in passenger volume, front headroom, and front legroom. Plus it has the class-exclusive third row reclining seats. Pathfinder also features Around View Monitor and Easy-Fill Tire Alert, while offering a top-notch ride experience with features such as Bose and tri-zone entertainment systems.

Pathfinder has always been about family, and the 2013 model enhances this attitude with an innovative and flexible interior.

Passengers can easily access the third row with the Latch and Glide feature, which adds a long slide and tilt-down function to the passenger-side second row seat, controlled by a lever. And it works even with a child seat attached.
This makes it much easier to get into the third row seats in various situations. The sliding second row seating can also give the third row seats more legroom if needed.

The front row seats are heated and cooled while the second row seats are heated; the steering wheel is heated as well.

The Around View Monitor is a class-exclusive feature for Pathfinder. It is easy to understand and use. The four cameras look to the front, rear, and two sides, and the smarts in the system create a composite top-view, like an actual bird’s eye view. This around-view works in combination with rear sonar system and rear view monitor.

Pathfinder offers a great 4-wheel drive performance, with class-exclusive driver selectable 2WD, 4WD, or Auto Modes to maximize performance and efficiency in a wide range of road conditions.

The Pathfinder is a pleasure to drive. A body with high stiffness and low vibration sensitivity mixed with multi-link independent rear suspension makes for eas-of-operation by providing secure and linear handling at freeway speeds.

Pathfinder is powered by a V6 3.5-L engine that provides ample off-the-line acceleration and reserve power for passing. This V6 produces 260 hp and 240 lb-ft torque from regular unleaded gas.

Nissan shaved off 500 pounds from the 2012 model. Yet it is 4.6” longer, 4.3” wider and has 8 cu. ft. larger interior volume. Fuel economy has been increased by 30 percent with improved driving range of 16 percent.

The Pathfinder comes in four models, two of which have a FWD drivetrain option. The S is the entry level that starts at $29,870, followed by the SV, SL and Platinum at $41,000. FWD models are about $2,000 less than the 4WD counterparts.

The 2013 Pathfinder comes with three optional packages. The Platinum Package contains tri-zone entertainment and dual panorama moonroof for $2,300.

The SL Premium Package is $2,650, with a Bose 13-speaker premium audio system, dual panorama moonroof, and trailer tow package. The trailer tow package is $400, with a class III tow hitch receiver, harness, and integrated bumper finisher.
