Platinum model Pathfinder seems to be really close to the JX in terms of features, minus the usual Infiniti features.

trans cooling fan helps a lot when it comes to towing nissan should think about making it an option on all models since some people wont be able to afford the platinum.

Not to beat an old post but I have a question does the s package come standard with the tow mode button and the rest of the needed tow package but minis the hitch? Mine has it all but no hitch.

I was under the impression that the "S" did not have the Tow Mode button. Maybe one of you "S" owners can verify?

This is what I'm trying to figure out because I was told I have an "S" but it has the tow mode and the rest of the needed items from the tow package but it didn't have the hitch. But when checking the bin it comes up as "SL"

Yes, I have '14 S and it does have a "tow" button. I suspect it notifies the CVT it will be pulling more weight so it can compensate and make whatever changes it needs to. I generally don't engage it when I'm pulling a utility trailer which is not too heavy and only for short distances. For the S model, you have to add your own hitch - it was pretty easy as the bolt holes were already tapped in the frame.
