Another day, another safety investigation. This time Nissan is under the microscope for complaints about leaks in some 2013 Pathfinder and Infiniti JX crossover vehicles.

The problem parts appear to be transmission cooler lines that can allegedly release fluid, resulting in a sudden loss of power. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has received complaints from five Pathfinder owners about this issue. Thankfully no injuries have been reported.

The safety organization’s investigation of these crossovers covers some 110,000 vehicles. Understandably Nissan is working with NHTSA to pinpoint exactly what’s going on.

The company has already developed a repair procedure for affected vehicles, which can be implemented by authorized Nissan and Infiniti dealers to rectify the problem.
