13 Speaker Bose sound system

Cannot find specs on the 13 speaker Bose sound system in my 2022 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum. NissanConnect tech support was unable to answer either. Is there a "subwoofer" of any type or size? What is the wattage of this "premium" sound system? My 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Limited had a 13 speaker Alpine sound system @600 watts and clearly had a dash mounted 3 - 5" subwoofer. It was punchy and generally had excellent range, cannot say the same regarding this "premium" Bose system.
Does anyone have a thought on either point (wattage or subwoofer)?

Bose typically does not release wattage on their systems. Similar to how Apple really doesn't release processor or ram specs on many of their products.

Thanks for the replay. True, most manufacturers don't list wattage, some premium brands do though. You'd think at least they'd provide the speaker specs. My guess is that Bose supplied some assistance to the design of the system and then Nissan was allowed to use the name Bose...
I hope they didn’t use the same “premium” sound as in our Murano.
As you can find complains about sound quality.
I recently replaced all our BOSE speakers in our Murano, just speakers no amp or woofer which is located right on top of the spare tire. There are to speakers in it.

I also looked at Crutchfield, as of now there is no speaker info. It’s a shame that some manufactures use inferior products on their “premium” trims. I too will replace at least the door speakers with something with a bit more dynamic range.

Sad that after spending 50K on a new premium vehicle you need to consider upgrading the factory speakers. My previous vehicle (2018 Chrysler Pacifica) had a very good Alpine speaker system that I was quite pleased with.

What speakers are these and how do they sound? I am considering if I want to upgrade my system or not. It kind of sucks because I opted for the SL + Premium package largely because of the speakers, but I guess that at least the rest of the system is better excluding the speakers. Anyway, I don't think that the speakers sound all that bad for most listening, but I can notice on certain songs that certain instruments and sounds become nearly inaudible in the mix, which is pretty strange.

Pleas see the link to my post on Murano forum, their is a order screenshoot with speakers names and prices.
They sound very good especially for that price, be aware they are 4 oms not 2 as original BOSE speakers, they wont be loud unless you replace the amp.
Im very happy with the result, sorry I don’t know how to explain but sound got dimensions, different ranges, volume.

Strange that Crutchfield still does not show the 2022 Pathfinder in their selection list for 2022 Nissan vehicles. It does show the 400Z and Frontier. The Frontier really isn't in quantity at dealerships yet. I don't believe the 400Z is out until 2022.

Badly Overrated Stereo Equipment = BOSE. I just bought a 2022 nissan pathfinder and the bose system socks big time.

I had the Bose 13 speaker in my 2013 and found it a fairly good system, not audio file mind you but decent. I wonder if the quality is the same 9 years later ?
Bose and Good have not been in the same sentence in 30 years.

My 2020 Rogue had the Bose system. It sounded better in the Rogue than in my new 2022 Pathfinder. Neither one is a quality product. I think it's a high profit product for nissan that is living off the bose name. I been an audiophile for over 50 + years I have never been impressed with BOSE equipment. To non audiophiles it probably sounds good to them. To me it sounds like crap in my 2022 Pathfinder. Nissan should do a lot better than this to call something like this premium system.

I was more concerned with a killer system back in the 70's to 80's and spent fortunes on speakers amps etc. etc. Like I said the Pathy Bose system is not audio file but it got me here and there just fine, the wife always seems to strike a heavy conversation when I was in the music mood in the car anyway. My Ram has Harman Kardon which is quite a bit better than the Bose but I hardly use it.
I save my audo file snobbery for at home. I spent quite a bit of coin on a home system but I actually get to use it with few distraction unlike the car. I guess it depends on ones priorities.
Most of the time in the car its only background sound for me.
It just seems to be a lot of money and effort to worry about, maybe if I was in my 20's or 30's but in my mid 60's I don't give 2 hoots, I have to worry if my hip is going to hurt me when I get out of the truck :ROFLMAO:

Me too I am 70. I agree most time it's background music. But sometimes I like to listen a little more closely. What I hear is muddy bass. No crispness. I think the system is way over priced for what is. I think nissan could do a better job on their so called premium system. BOSE = Badly Overrated Stereo Equipment. No highs no lows must be Bose.

These car companies have been ripping off consumers for years with their "premium" stereo systems. For the most part, they're junk. The price of a little better speaker and amp is nominal compare to what they charge. Why put the effort into something if the end result is sub-par. I have the revel 19 speaker system in my Lincoln Nautilus. It sounded good, not great, and is rated as one of the best on the market. Anything after market will blow away anything OEM.

Agreed but its amounts to an individuals priority. Ive heard and seen the cats a$$ of car audio but I can't personally be bothered spending the dough or installing it myself.
Sure its a rip off but so is the quality of all the cars and trucks now a days.
My truck new is now worth $120,000 (Canadian), to me its only worth half that but the car companies are getting what ever they want.

I bought new door speakers from Crutchfield for my 13' that sound decent. They are made by PowerBass and are 2ohm. I found a "new" subwoofer box/unit off eBay and will hook that up. I am looking at a Kicker hideaway sub/amp unit to put under a seat because I use my Path Plat as a truck quite often.

Agreed and having the 2ohm setup doesn't help when one wants to try and upgrade the speakers as I did in the doors of my 13' Platinum.
