Hello Ultane,
Thanks for the info and sentiment.
I have the procedure down, I'm cautious about reaching so far beyond the wheel well while up on jacks, that's the problem I'm seeking counsel to solve.

Are you getting noise from the bushings on rough road? From under the car if you grab the sway bar at the end link there should be no play when you push up and down. If there is play, you'll have to feel if it's coming from the joint on the end link, or the sway bar is actually moving in the bushing. Whenever I'm trying to determine what suspension parts have play, I sort of squeeze the joint with my fingers to try to feel the movement at the connection point itself. It works well for me that way.
