Question How many PSI do you put in your tires?

The door jam on my Pathfinder SL says 33 PSI front and rear. But mine came from the dealer at 35 front and 40 rear. You would think that they would know the correct pressure to use on their own vehicles!

My Continental Cross Contacts say 44 Max PSI, but I know that you're supposed to go by what the door jam says, no matter what brand you use. What say you?

Great question!
My old PF tires always were at 35 psi and below that the sensor light would come on.
I bought new michelins right before I traded it in and those were at 35 too.
When I got the new 2014, they were at 40 psi all the way around !
I left them there so far but would really like to know the proper setting. these are the stock Continentals that come on the car. I have to go on the high side as it gets cold up here and the pressure drops in the cold and will trigger the low pressure indicator.

On my 4th or 5th PF, too many to remember !

For those of you with PF Platinums, what does your door jam say?

Agree with PowerDDanger. Exactly as what is stated on the car door jamb and your manual. When I originally bought the car, the pressure was well over 40 in all the tires. I found out later from one of Nissan's service manuals (used by the technicians) is that the tires are filled to over 40 for storage purposes until it is sold to a consumer, at which point they are supposed to decrease it to the proper pressure.

I run mine at 37, I also had mine filled with Nitrogen. I would highly recommend it.

Good point! I'll have to try that and see what pressures register.

What's the advantage of using nitrogen? I've never understood that.
